Also it will cover formula and baby food for those who still have infants.
The TANIF program (Department of Children and Families) provides single mothers with temporary financial assistance for a specific amount of time.
The parent must meet specific income criteria and may have to work a specified amount of hours in order to be approved.
The need for government housing for single mothers has grown over the last couple of decades.
Housing vouchers will allow single moms to move into apartments or homes either completely rent free or at a low cost depending on their income.
Food Stamps is another government program that is used to supply single moms with the ability to buy groceries each month. The amount they receive will depend on how many people are in their household and their monthly income.
Medicaid offers a variety of health care programs for single moms available to single moms and their children. Families that are approved will receive full coverage for their children. They will have full medical and dental with little to no co pay.
